This is the drummer that Symphia has chosen for its new stage

Although Symphia's line-up has remained solid almost since its beginnings, few changes have been seen in the quintet from the island of Tenerife. Before being presented in society, the band presented another line-up different from the current one which, after some necessary adjustments, ended up being the one that the public has been used to seeing on stage in the last few years.

It is true that, like most bands, music tends to reach a point where it evolves and more specialised profiles are required in some positions that offer a wider range of musical arguments as the themes require it.

And this is the case of the drums. For this new stage, the group has decided to enlist the services of a more technical percussionist to offer new resources to their musical creations.

The new music that Symphia has been creating, will see a big change not only compositionally speaking with darker melodies than usual, but also in the drums with more double pedal presence, more precise rolls, and in general a more forceful punch.

The profile in charge of percussion will be Leo León,a drummer who has been rehearsing with the band for months now, will be the new face of the group from now on.

On the other hand, it is worth mentioning that Symphia's second album will start recording in August 2022 and will be Leo's first with the band. The album will be much darker than its predecessor, «Anteludium» which was so well received back in 2020 when it was launched.

Otherwise, the band is still waiting for new dates for their comeback on stage, while they are in the studio to work on their second album. Until then, we will have to wait for the next events to be announced to see the new line-up on stage.

Symphia presents a new video clip full of action

The band is still more active than ever

The last day of this war, is the title chosen for the second audiovisual work of Symphia and that has been recently presented to the public on their social networks. The video, in the purest dark style, invites us to enter a dark and cloudy night where we can see everything from an epic battle with swords to a procession of monks whose final destination is to watch over the soul of one of those fallen in combat.

This work has been shot in the Botanical Garden of Puerto de La Cruz (Tenerife, Canary Islands) and has had a greater deployment, both human and logistical, with respect to the previous video Kingdom of Souls released almost two years ago years. In this way, Symphia is clearly committed to giving the importance it deserves to its work on the small screen, wanting to offer the best possible audiovisual content to its followers.

The song in question will be part of his next record work which will begin recording in the middle of this year 2022 and of which no further details have yet been revealed.

Regarding its projection and short-term movements, the band is still active producing new material and waiting to close new dates for the events that are coming up soon.

Shooting of "The Last Day of This War" completed

As we have been announcing for a few months now, the band has been in the studio recording, as a single, «The last day of this war» one of the songs from the next album which is still in process.

To top it all off, the single will be accompanied by an elaborate music video which will be the second work that the band has added to its list of audiovisual works.

Filming has now been completed and took place in the Jardín Botánico del Puerto de La Cruz (Tenerife) where, under the direction of Clipia, a much larger audiovisual display was made than on other occasions, this time betting on offering the band's followers a new and better experience.

In addition to filming Symphia's own performance in a beautiful garden setting, an epic sword fight was filmed in a very sinister atmosphere that we predict will satisfy the expectations of the band's most loyal fans.

The result will not be released for a few months, but you can see, in the following video, a brief preview of what the filming day was like. A video in which the band has put a lot of effort to offer a better quality audiovisual material to try to make themselves known abroad.

From now on, Symphia's plans are focused on finishing writing the last songs of the tracklist of the next album, which will also include "The last day of this war", although they will combine it with some performances as they come up.

The band is looking forward to returning to the stage, which they abandoned almost two years ago due to the COVID-19 and they will do it with new material and renewed energy to start a new and more exciting stage.

In the meantime, we want to thank you for being by our side because, feeling your support, is what keeps us going. See you soon!

Making Of – The Last Day of this War

«The last day of this war», uno de los nuevos temas del próximo disco, en proceso de grabación

As we announced a few months ago, Symphia was among the finalists of the contest «Resuena Puerto»A contest where musicians from various musical genres met and whose prize was the recording of a song accompanied by its respective video clip

The chosen song for this occasion has been «The last day of this war»,one of the new songs that will make up the repertoire of the band's next album and that will be recorded in advance to whet your appetite. It is an energetic melody seasoned with melodic overtones that continues to reflect the most characteristic style of the band in each of its notes.

The band is still immersed in the recording process and it is estimated that the song will not be completely finished for a few months, so there is still some time to pass through the ears of all its fans.

It should also be said that the band is not inactive, much less despite not having been facing the public lately. Although until recently they followed an upward trajectory with a boiling concert schedule, the unfortunate health situation that hit the world slowed their progress as it did with many other groups not only regionally but also globally.

In that space of time, the group has focused on composing the new repertoire that it will offer to the public on their return to the stage and on preparing new productions full of surprises. A break that will be worth it and that the band hopes will be reflected when they get back on the stage in a short space of time.

One of the songs on the upcoming album will be recorded in advance

After being selected as one of the finalists of the contest Resuena Puerto, organised by the City Council of Puerto de La Cruz, with the collaboration of local production company Clipia, Symphia will have the possibility to record one of the songs from their upcoming album in advance as well as a video clip to accompany the track.

Although the next album is still in the compositional phase and is expected to consist of 10 tracks, 4 new tracks have already been born and the band is keeping them under lock and key waiting to be presented to the public at the next big occasion, so those attending the band's upcoming events will be able to listen to the new musical content live before the band releases their new work.

The chosen opening song will be «The last day of this war» and is scheduled to start recording in early September 2021 at Clipia Studios in Puerto de La Cruz, Tenerife (Canary Islands, Spain).

Symphia is already working on their next album

Almost two years have passed since the release of "Anteludium", Symphia's first EP. A long awaited work among the band's followers and that had a very positive review not only in Spain but also outside the Spanish borders. Fans from Germany, France, Brazil, USA, England and Japan have already been able to enjoy Symphia's music with a copy of the album in their hands.

Taking advantage of the time of hiatus due to the health situation we are suffering, the band has already started to prepare the new material for their next album, which is expected to have 10 tracks and continue with a darker line than its predecessor.

At the moment, the band has 3 new songs that can be heard in their upcoming shows, so the public will be able to enjoy live the new material they are creating without having to wait for the release of the new album.

Los títulos de los nuevos temas que se suman al repertorio que ya poseen son los siguientes: The last day of this war, In the middle of hell y Winter Symphony.

Symphia's first EP "Anteludium" is now available.

After several months of compositions and hours in the studio, we are pleased to announce that our first album has already seen the light of day and is now available both in our shop .

An EP entitled «Anteludium» (prelude in Latin) and is made up of 6 tracks, reaching half an hour in length, where you will be able to listen to a tracklist of songs with a strong Northern European metal feel, full of dark melodies that will grab you from the very first notes.

It is worth noting that the song «Firebird» is recorded with the collaboration of Marc Quee, vocalist of bands such as Esclavitud or Attentat rock (France) and who perfectly complements his prodigious voice, very much in the style of power metal along with Amy Gutiérrez, Symphia's own vocalist.

Anteludium has already sold more than 200 copies in the first few months after its release and has received orders from various parts of the world such as Japan, Germany, Holland, France, Brazil and the USA among other places, and has received very positive reviews from fans of the band. In addition, the album has been chosen by the website The Metal Club as the world's 8th best work of the year 2020 in its metal category.

Due to the difficult global health situation, the album has not yet been officially presented to the audience and is scheduled to be presented on 12 February 2022 at the event that Symphia will perform together with the renowned Spanish vocalist Leo Jiménez and which will take place in the Aguere Espacio Cultural in the city of La Laguna (Tenerife).

The tracklist that you will be able to listen to on this album is the following:

Tracklist
1. Living Like a Wolf
2. Eternal Flame
3. Kingdom of Souls
4. The Light Shines in the Darkness
5. Firebird (feat. Marc Quee)
6. Night is Coming

Kingdom of Souls, Symphia's first video clip, a hit on social networks

Since the release of "Anteludium", Symphia's first album, the band has been pleasantly surprised to receive good reviews on the material offered to their audience. And no wonder. A few months after the release of their first EP, they could feel the warmth of their audience with the growing demand for their records in many parts of the world. Fans from countries like Japan, Brazil, USA, Holland, France, England and Germany already have a copy of Symphia's work in their hands.

And it's not just the album that has been well received. To their surprise, the video clip for "Kingdom of Souls", one of the songs that make up the EP, already has more than 2,000 views on Youtube after a few months of its release, the band wants to thank its audience for the love and support received for the work done, which after all is done for them.

The song Kingdom of Souls, was composed by the keyboardist Alberto Arnay and clearly shows the strong influences of the metal music practised in Northern Europe, where this style is a tradition par excellence in those regions.

As the author explains, "The song tells the fantastic story of a daring girl who is determined to go into a forbidden forest. The place was inhabited by all sorts of strange creatures such as witches and ancient spirits, so it was her decision to go ahead.

In addition, as far as the musical part is concerned, Alberto explains that "The idea was to make a track mixing mystical, instrumental and heavier parts. I loved incorporating a violin passage that gives it a romantic and sad touch. I think in the end it was able to convey what I intended and it's one of my favourite tracks we've done so far".

Some fans who have listened to the album have sent their comments of congratulations and satisfaction to the band themselves, and they would like to express their gratitude to all those who have dedicated their time to helping the band continue to grow.

I love it! It's so catchy while at the same time has that dark tone with modern influences as well as influences from the good old days of 90's gothic metal. Lyrically very mystical all aroun
